Eldib believes the relaxing nature of haircuts naturally facilitates deep and personal conversations that can ease the emotional weight of the struggles men often experience, such as loneliness. A 2025 Gallup poll revealed that young men in America were more likely to feel lonely and stressed than men in other countries. Eldib sees barbershops as a safe, private space to talk through feelings such as these.

“[A man often] wakes up alone. Even if he’s married, he’s still waking up alone, because he has thoughts that he can’t share with his wife for some reason or closest friends,” he said in the KTLA 5 News interview. “You go to a barbershop… All of a sudden, all your senses are relaxed… Talking to somebody–the barber’s chair, I think, is the perfect place to break that barrier."
